National Honor Society
2025-2026 NHS Application Information -- Early Application Due June 30
The P-CEP National Honor Society chapter is an organization that empowers and equips students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders within our school community. Members can apply after their sophomore year during the early application window in June, or in August for the regular window. Applications are sent to all Juniors and Seniors via their school email.
To be considered for membership to NHS students must demonstrate excellence in the four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. To demonstrate scholarship students must have at least a 3.5 career GPA. Service is demonstrated through at least 20 hours of community service during their high school career. Here is a spreadsheet to keep track of it if you need one. Leadership and Character are demonstrated through responses to questions the students will fill out as a part of their application and a recommendation letter. The recommendation letter must be from someone who knows you beyond the classroom and can speak to BOTH character and leadership. This cannot be a family member.
If you are a non-profit group looking for volunteers, we are excited to help! Please fill out this document at least two weeks in advance. There are directions on the document for how to complete it and who to send it to.
