Online Courses
There are several categories of online courses that we offer during summer school. All are fully online, and will require access to the internet at home. If your student currently has a school Chromebook signed out, please choose to have them keep it for summer school. If your student needs a device for summer, we will have them available to sign out during the first two days of summer school in the Plymouth High School Library.

1. Credit Advancement ($350 per course) - Credit Advancement courses are for students taking a class for the first time. Courses are self paced, and have varying deadlines - please read below for more information. Families looking for a more structured summer school experience should elect the Credit Advancement - in-person option.
There are two types of online credit advancement courses:
- NEW PCEP Asynchronous Courses - these online courses are fully asynchronous and taught by PCEP teachers during the same timeframe as our in-person courses (June 23rd - July 24th). These tend to be our most popular online courses, and space is limited, so register as early as possible. Courses available this summer: Personal Fitness, Health, Civics, Geometry, and Biology
- Michigan Virtual Courses - We have partnered with Michigan Virtual to offer a number of other fully online courses, which will start on May 30th and run through August 8th (click here for details). Students will work through our summer school to take Michigan Virtual courses for a grade. Please note: to earn a grade in the course, you must register through PCEP Summer School and not directly with Michigan Virtual.
2. Credit Recovery - These courses are for students who previously failed a course and need to recover credit. There is no cost for Credit Recovery courses for 2025. These classes begin on Monday, June 23 and end on Thursday, July 24. This program is self-paced, allowing for flexible scheduling and early completion. Families looking for a more structured summer school experience should elect the Credit Recovery - in-person option.
