Early Middle College (EMC)

Earn College Credit, an Associate Degree, and a Head Start on Your Future
For students who are ready to challenge themselves academically and begin planning for life beyond high school, the P-CCS Early Middle College (EMC) program offers an incredible opportunity.
Early Middle College is a rigorous five-year program that blends high school coursework with college-level classes, allowing students to graduate with both a high school diploma and significant college credentials — helping them save time, reduce college costs, and launch into their future faster.
P-CCS has partnered with Schoolcraft College and Washtenaw Community College to provide this opportunity.
A Program Designed for College and Career Acceleration
The P-CCS Early Middle College is designed to allow students to complete both a traditional high school diploma and one of the following:
- Up to 60 transferable college credits
- An associate degree
- A certificate in a selected career pathway
By the end of the program, students are prepared to enter college or the workforce with a major advantage: real college experience and progress toward a degree already completed.
Program Highlight: Graduate Ahead
Students in EMC can:
- Earn up to 60 college credits
- Complete an associate degree or certificate
- Save on future tuition costs
